Welcome to splose! Here is your all-in-one guide for moving from Nookal to splose.
Our team has performed these imports plenty of times, so you're in good hands. To make sure everything goes smoothly, plan for a 3-4 week lead time before your intended go-live date.
This help guide will cover:
Set up your Splose workspace
First, set up locations, practitioners and services in splose so that our team can map your data from Nookal to splose.
Locations
Set up all locations in splose.
Practitioners & Members
Invite all practitioners in splose. You can also invite admin members and your accountant. Ensure all of your members have accepted the Splose invite before the data import commences.
Services
Set up services in splose. Set up face-to-face services as appointments and non-face-to-face services as support activities.
What data can be transferred from Nookal to Splose
The following can be transferred from nookal to splose through the import:
Clients
Contacts
Appointments
Files
Progress notes (as PDF)
Debtor management
If you are a Xero user and your debtors are in Xero, we recommend keeping them there and managing them using the Aged Receivables report. If your debtors exist in Nookal, we recommend creating the debtors in splose along with the outstanding balance. Create an invoice and add a "Custom" invoice item line and the amount. You can enter the issue date and due date, then email follow-ups right using email templates. Continue debtor management using the Aged Debtors report in splose.

Export your data from Nookal
Contact the Nookal support team and request a "Full data extract". Nookal will email you a ZIP folder containing all of your data. This typically includes client records, contacts, appointments, files, and progress notes.
β
Before requesting your export, we recommend confirming your intended import date with the splose team first (see below), so you can time the export as close to your go-live date as possible. This minimises the gap between the data snapshot and your first day in splose.
Schedule your data import with splose
The splose team will import your data for you. Reach out via the help chat in your dashboard to book your import date.
Please contact us 3-4 weeks before your intended go-live date so we have enough time to prepare and schedule your import.
Once you've confirmed a date, we'll send you a secure upload link to share your exported data with us.
When you get in touch, include the following so we can get things moving:
Your intended go-live date
The number of practitioners being imported
Whether you have already requested your full data extract from Nookal
"Hi splose team! We're moving from Nookal to splose and would like to book our data import. Our intended go-live date is [DATE]. We have [X] practitioners and have [already requested / not yet requested] our full data extract from Nookal. Could you help us get this scheduled?"
