Before you begin
Before you connect Stripe, note the following:
You need an active splose subscription to set up payments.
Connecting creates a new Stripe account. This is required to use the full suite of splose payment features.
Card payments are charged at a single all-in rate of 1.95% + $0.30 per transaction, covering both Stripe and splose fees.
How to connect Stripe with splose
Creating a new Stripe account is required when connecting splose to Stripe, and will ensure you can take advantage of the full suite of splose payment features.
Go to Settings → Integrations.
Find Stripe and click Connect. This opens Stripe.
Enter your email address and create your new Stripe account.
Once connected, you'll be redirected back to splose.
Check the Integrations page to confirm Stripe is connected.

Add a 'Pay with credit card' button to invoices
Make it simple for clients to pay you directly from their invoice.
Create or edit an invoice in splose.
Ensure online payments are enabled by going to Settings → Invoices → Enable online payment.
A 'Pay with credit card' button will automatically appear on the invoice sent to clients and contacts.
Clients can then securely pay with their credit card online, or using Apple/Google Pay, depending on the device used to open the invoice.
Once you've enabled online payments, any time a card payment is used to pay an invoice online the card details will be securely saved to the client's record for future payments, reducing admin and eliminating late payments.
Enable Stripe payments for services
Go to Settings → Services.
Either edit an existing service that you would like to enable payments with Stripe, or select + New service.
Toggle Online Payment to on.
Select whether payment is or is not required.
Select whether the patient must pay in full or if a partial payment is permitted.
Select Save.
Enable Stripe payments for online bookings
Accept payment at the time of booking to reduce no-shows and secure client commitment.
Go to Settings → Online bookings.
Open your booking page settings.
Enable Card payments with Stripe.
Choose whether to:
Require full payment at booking from your service's settings or
Require partial payment at booking from your service's settings
Once you've enabled Stripe payments for online bookings, any time a card payment is made through an online booking, the card details will be securely saved to the client's record for future payments, reducing admin and eliminating late payments.
If you select full payment at booking, invoices are automatically generated and marked as paid. For partial payments, invoices remain in awaiting payment with the Stripe payment attached.
✅ Best practice: Require payment at the time of booking if you don't usually edit appointments before generating invoices—this keeps billing seamless and accurate.

Troubleshooting
Can't connect your Stripe account? Double-check you've entered the correct email and login details. If you're creating a new account, ensure all required business information is added.
'Pay with credit card' button not showing on invoices? Ensure online payments are enabled in your invoice settings and that Stripe is assigned as the payment method. Also, confirm the invoice is marked as 'Sent' since Stripe will not appear for draft invoices.
Clients having trouble paying? Ask them to retry using another card. Stripe accepts most major credit and debit cards. Additionally, verify that the invoice's public link displays the 'Pay Now' button.
