Letters written by splose AI

Learn how to draft a letter with splose AI from the letter editor, and see example prompts for GP and progress letters.

splose AI can draft professional letters for you inside the letter editor, for example, a GP referral or progress update based on a client's progress notes. Workspaces can save prompts in splose AI settings so teams can reuse them for common letter types.

This guide covers what you need before you start, how to open splose AI in the letter editor and generate a letter, and some example prompts to get you going.

Formatting works differently in letters and progress notes

splose AI drafts letter content as text. When you insert or paste that text into a letter or letter template, it does not carry across font, size or colour; you apply those in the letter editor after inserting.

If you want AI-applied formatting kept automatically, including when you export to PDF, write in a progress note instead. Use a letter template when you need a consistent letterhead, footer or placeholders, and expect to format the body yourself.

  • Always review the letter splose AI drafts before sending. Check that the details are accurate and complete; treat it as a starting point, not a final version.
