Create a new ACC injury claim

splose allows you to create and send ACC45 new injury forms to ACC and to receive the claim status in real time

Create a new ACC claim

Navigate to the ACC tab in the top menu of your splose workspace

Select the ‘New claim’ button in the top right hand corner of your screen followed by ‘Add New Claim’.

Fill out the ACC claim details

  1. Select a patient from your patient list

  2. Complete the patient details that ACC require

    1. If you have already completed this step for this patient, you do not need to do this again, and you will see a green tick icon next to the patients name

  3. Fill in the Accident details section, ensuring to complete the required fields

  4. Accept (tick) the practitioner declaration which is a compliance requirement for ACC

  5. Add the Diagnoses and any incapacities or referrals required

  6. Save your ACC claim if you need to complete it later by going to actions in the top right and save draft

  7. Select Preview in the top right hand corner, then Submit to send the claim to ACC

Sending ACC45 forms to patients

Note that you can manually or automatically send an ACC45 new injury form to patients for them to complete their ACC patient details and the injury details. See our guide here.

View ACC claims and statuses

You will see a list of your ACC claims with the current status displayed in the main ACC tab. You can filter these statuses by selecting the filter icon next to the Status heading.

Once the ACC claim has been accepted or rejected, you will see this displayed in the Status column.
