How to integrate Tyro Health to enable Medicare, DVA, HICAPS and card payments.

Updated over 2 months ago

Introduction

Connect Tyro Health with Splose to submit Medicare claims, lodge DVA claims, process HICAPS claims and process card payments. You can utilise one or all of the options.

This help guide will cover:

  • Setting up a Tyro Health account

  • Setting up practitioner provider numbers

  • Assigning payment methods

  • Setting up item codes

Set up a Tyro Health account

Getting approved as a provider

New accounts are reviewed by Tyro Health. You'll see the message "Provider numbers awaiting approval". You can find more information about provider number approval here.

Set up practitioner provider numbers

After Tyro Health approves your account, go to the Staff tab, then Locations and click the practitioner to see the provider numbers.

Go to Settings, Users, select a practitioner, then go to the Provider numbers section and copy and paste the provider number along with the type, exactly as displayed in Tyro Health.

⚠️ Warning: If the provider type and number are not correct, you won't able to process claims.

Connect Tyro Health tosplose

Log in to Tyro Health, then go to Business settings.

Under API Keys, generate an API key and then click the copy icon to copy the API key to your clipboard.

In splose, go to Settings, Integrations, then under Tyro Health, click connect.

Enter a display name such as your business name, paste your API key, and select the assigned locations, then click Connect.

Assign payment methods

Once you have connected, you must assign payments in splose that are made through Tyro Health, which is important for financial reporting.

Click Save Settings, or add a new payment method and come back here.

Approved practitioners

All approved practitioners will be displayed in Tyro Health integration settings. If you don't see practitioners here, the provider numbers are not set up correctly or Tyro Health has not approved the practitioners.

Set up item codes

To integrate successfully with Tyro Health, go to Settings, Services and set up the correct item codes for each service. For example, make sure services are using the correct Medicare code, DVA code and HICAPS code.

Search for services and codes from Tyro Health to confirm the correct code. The codes entered will flow through to Tyro Health when claiming, so making sure they are accurate will prevent any unwanted errors.
