When a client pays an online invoice or pays for a booking online, splose can automatically store their payment method through Stripe so it is available for future payments. This setting lets you control whether payment methods are stored automatically.
Automatic saving is on by default. You can turn it off at any time if you would prefer not to store payment methods automatically.
Before You Begin
Connect Stripe
This setting is only available once your practice has set up the Stripe integration. If Stripe is not connected to your practice, this setting will not appear.
Who can change this setting
Only users with admin permissions can view and change this setting.
How to
Turn automatic saving on or off
Navigate to Workspace Settings.
Under Finances, select Payments.
Find the Automatically save client payment methods setting.
Toggle it on to store client payment methods automatically during online payments, or off to stop storing them.
Click Save.
Your change applies to payments made from that point on. When the setting is on, a client's payment method is stored each time they pay an online invoice or complete an online booking payment.
When it is off, no payment method is stored during these flows.
