If your team has been building up a collection of AI Block prompts, the library is where they all live. Rather than writing the same prompt over and over, you save it once and pull it in whenever you need it — whether you're writing a note or setting up a template. Everyone on your team shares the same library, which makes it easy to keep documentation consistent across your practice.
This article walks you through how to add prompts to the library, open it from a note or template, and make use of the example prompts splose provides out of the box.
Before You Begin
Your workspace needs to have splose AI enabled.
Your user account needs the splose AI subscription applied.
Accessing the AI Block Library
Accessing the library from the AI Block settings
Navigate to Workspace Settings.
Under Automation, select splose AI.
Select the AI Block Library tab.
Here, you will see all of your saved AI Blocks, including the splose-provided examples.
Accessing the library from a progress note
Here's how to pull up the library while you're writing a progress note.
Open a client's appointment (via the client profile or the calendar) and click Add progress note.
Choose a template to open the note editor.
Select the + button, then select Load from Library.
Your AI Block library will appear. Select the item you would like to add to your note, then select Add X to Note. You can insert one or multiple AI Block library items at once.
Alternatively, you can load an AI Block library item by inserting an AI Block using any of these methods:
Click the ➕ button at your cursor position and select Insert AI Block
Type / and select Insert AI Block
Click the AI Blocks dropdown in the formatting bar and select Insert New
Inside the AI Block, click the Actions drop-down, then click Load from Library.
Browse the library, or use the search bar and tag filters to find what you're after.
Click the prompt to load it into your AI Block.
Accessing the library from a template
Here's how to access the library while editing a progress note template.
Go to Settings → Templates → Progress notes.
Click Edit on an existing template, or click Create new template.
Select the + icon, then select Load from Library.
Your AI Block library will appear. Select the item you would like to add to your note, then select Add X to Note. You can insert one or multiple AI Block library items at once.

Click the AI Blocks dropdown in the formatting bar and select Insert New
Inside the AI Block, click Load from Library.
Browse or search for the prompt you want.
Click the prompt to load it into your template.
Adding Items to the AI Block Library
The library is only as useful as the prompts in it. Here's how to save a prompt so you and your whole team can reuse it.
Saving a prompt from a progress note or template
If you've written a prompt inside an AI Block that you'd like to use again, you can save it to the library directly from the note or template editor.
Open any progress note or template that contains an AI Block with a prompt you want to save.
Inside the AI Block, click the Actions dropdown.
Select Save to Library.
Give the prompt a name so it's easy to find later.
Add tags to help organise it — discipline, note type, or team name all work well.
Click Save.
The prompt is now available to your whole team from the library.
Adding a prompt directly from the library
You can also create new library items without being in a note or template.
Navigate to Workspace Settings.
Under Automation, select splose AI.
Select the AI Block Library tab.
Click Add New.
Write your prompt, give it a name, and add any tags.
Click Save.
Using the splose example prompts
Not sure where to start? splose includes a handful of ready-made example prompts in the library, marked with the splose icon. You can view them for inspiration or duplicate them and make them your own.
Open the library from any AI Block (see the steps above).
Look for prompts marked with the splose icon — those are the built-in examples.
Click the Actions dropdown on any example prompt.
Select View to read the full prompt, or Duplicate to create an editable copy you can customise.
Things to Note
The library is shared across your whole workspace — anything one team member saves is visible to everyone with splose AI access.
You can't edit the splose example prompts directly. Duplicate one first, then make your changes to the copy.
Tags are worth using as your library grows. Consistent tags like discipline, note type, or team name make it much easier to find what you need later.
Prompts loaded from the library appear minimised in the note editor by default. Click the arrow to expand the block before you generate.
FAQs and Troubleshooting
Q: I can't see the Load from Library option. What's wrong?
A: This option only appears inside an AI Block. If you're not seeing it, check that you've inserted an AI Block first — use the ➕ button, the / menu, or the AI Blocks dropdown in the formatting bar.
Q: The library looks empty. Where are the example prompts?
A: splose example prompts should appear in the library by default, marked with the splose icon. If they're not showing up, check that your splose AI subscription is active and that you're in the right workspace.
Q: I saved a prompt, but my colleague can't see it.
A: The library is shared, but both of you need the splose AI subscription applied to your accounts. Ask your workspace owner to check that your colleague's AI access is turned on under their user settings.
Q: Can I delete a prompt from the library?
A: Yes. Open the library, find the prompt, click the Actions dropdown, and select Delete. Deleting a prompt from the library won't affect any notes or templates where it's already been used.
