How to Copy and Paste the Stripe Payout ID from Xero Transaction Description into Stripe
When it comes to managing transactions, it’s important to keep track of all payments attached to a particular Stripe payout ID. Thankfully, Xero makes this process easy by including the Stripe payout ID in the transaction description. In this blog post, we’ll walk you through how to copy and paste the Stripe payout ID from Xero into Stripe to identify all payments attached to that payout ID.
Step 1: Log in to Xero
First, log in to your Xero account and navigate to the transaction description that contains the Stripe payout ID you need to copy.
Step 2: Copy the Stripe Payout ID
Once you’ve located the transaction description, highlight and copy the Stripe payout ID.
Step 3: Log in to Stripe
Next, log in to your Stripe account and click the Search bar at the top of the navigation.
Step 4: Search for Payout ID
In the Payments section, click on the “Search” button and select “Payout ID” from the dropdown menu. Paste the Stripe payout ID you copied from Xero into the search bar and hit “Enter”.
Step 5: View Payments Attached to Payout ID
Once you’ve clicked “Enter”, Stripe will automatically filter and display all payments attached to the Stripe payout ID you searched for.
