The rich text editor lets you format text, headings, lists, tables, alignment, and more in progress notes, forms, letters, email modals (such as sending an invoice), and all templates. The formatting you apply is kept, including in emails you send to clients.
This guide covers the formatting tools in the editor, how to create and edit tables, and how formatting behaves when you email a client.
Formatting tools
You can undo or redo changes with the undo/redo buttons, or Ctrl/Cmd + Z.
Basic formatting
Use the toolbar to format your text:
Bold, italic, and underline
Headings and text styles
Text colour/highlight
Links
Font family and size
Use the font family and font size options in the toolbar to change the look of your text. Highlight the text you want to change, then select a font from the font family menu or adjust the size. This works anywhere the rich text editor appears, including progress notes, forms, letters, email modals and all templates.
đ Setting a brand or default font
splose doesn't have a single global setting that applies one brand font across every form, letter and document, and there isn't a way to upload your own custom typeface. You can choose from the fonts available in the font family menu. To avoid setting it each time, apply your preferred font inside each template once (form templates, letter templates and email templates), and anything created from that template will use it.
If the font you'd like isn't available, we'd love to hear about it. You can submit and vote on ideas at ideas.splose.com.
Tables
Click the table icon and choose the number of rows and columns.
Click a cell to open table options (header, footer, cell background, and more).
To add rows or columns, click a cell and choose Insert row above/below or Insert column before/after.
Change the colour of the table header to identify it easily.
Paragraph
The paragraph functionality gives customisation options, including alignment and lists.
You can create ordered or unordered lists.
Emailing
When emailing, you can also use the rich text editor - the format you create will be retained when sending the invoice.
The client communications page will also display the format of the email sent.
