If you have already connected Medipass, then you are ready to process card payments 🎉

The best thing about card payments is that once a client makes a payment via credit card, then their card information can be stored securely on their Medipass account for future payments.


Initiate a contactless card payment using Medipass

Firstly, you must create an invoice and it should be ready to be paid. Medipass card payments can be applied to all invoices, regardless of the items on the invoice, including appointments, services, supporting activities, expense claims, products and custom invoice items.

Once the invoice is created, click the Add payment button.

The payment modal will open. Click Card payment + to initiate the virtual terminal.

The virtual terminal will open, and the default option will be the assisted card payment option.

This is where you'll have three options for capturing the payment.


Take payments using the assisted card payment option

If the card has previously be entered and saved by you or the client, then the card will be ready to be used.

If a card has not been entered before, then you will be able to add a new card and click Save card details for next time.

Once the card is entered correctly, ensure you have authority from the cardholder to charge the card for the payment, then click Charge.

If successful, Splose will automatically close the virtual terminal, allocate the payment in Splose and mark the invoice as paid.


A super convenient way for clients to make a payment from their mobile device. You can send clients an SMS to the number in the client's file or add a new number and save it for next time. This will send an SMS with a secure link for the client to open, review and pay by entering their card, paying with Google Pay or Apple Pay. If the client has a card on file with Medipass, then they will simply have to authorise and accept the payment.

Clicking Charge will display the following page and message:

Once the client approves the payment, Splose will automatically close the virtual terminal, allocate the payment in Splose and mark the invoice as paid.


The remaining way to capture payment is to send a client a unique link to make a payment.

When the client opens the link, it will take them to a page that looks like:

Once the payment has been charged in the virtual terminal, Splose will close the payment modal, allocate the payment and mark the invoice as paid.

If you click on the payment or find the payment, you will see the Card payment section, with the option the transaction in Medipass.
